WASHINGTON — Thelma Olive (Greenwood) Rader, 103, died at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday at Washington Nursing Center. Born July 15, 1909, in Epsom, she was the daughter of Theodore and Della Greenwood. She was a homemaker and had just celebrated her birthday with friends and family last month. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Leo R. and Mary Rader Jr. of Arcanum, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Rader of Elnora; a sister, Halsie Holcomb of Peru; grandchildren, Leo R. Rader III and wife Teresa of West Chester, Ohio, Leah Rader of Hyattsville, Md., and Julie Klein and husband Jerome of Raymond, Ohio; and six treasured great-grandchildren, Carmen, Carrie, Madelyn, Violet, Lily and Samuel. Her husband, Leo Reed Rader, is deceased. She is also preceded in death by sons Dale (wife Rosie) Rader and Richard Rader; brothers, Henry (Gladys) Greenwood, Dale (Margretha) Greenwood; and sisters, Juanita (Earl) Burch, Joyce (Dale) Wilson, Laura (Ray) Gainey and Lois (Gene) Beck. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Elnora Christian Church, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, and one hour prior to service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Elnora Christian Church.
