WASHINGTON — E. Ilene Litherland, 80, of Washington, died at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday at Select Hospital in Evansville. Born Jan. 17, 1932, in Royal Oak, Mich., she was the daughter of William and Clodah (Spiller) Basey. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and had been a clerk/bookkeeper at B K and C Insurance Co. for several years, retiring in 1986. She is survived by a son, Mark Litherland of Washington; a brother, Tom Basey of Florida; and two sisters, Margaret Jackson and Gene Campbell, both of Michigan. Her husband, Robert E. Litherland, whom she married Aug. 31, 1963, died Aug. 24, 2006. Her parents and one brother, William Basey, are also deceased. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with Rev. George Qualley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are being made through Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home.
