VINCENNES — Cecil Ross Kirk, 82, passed away April 7 in Evansville, leaving much sadness to his family. He was born and raised in Washington. His parents were Mabel Myers Kirk and Mason Edward Kirk, both deceased. He is survived by five children, Angie Petts of Evansville, Kelly Arthur of Alexandria, Va., Melody Wilkes of Seymour, Ross E. Kirk of Plainfield, Iowa, and Russ Kirk of Indianapolis. Ross leaves behind 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud. Two nieces survive who were raised by Ross and his parents, Barbara Kirk Self of Brownstown, and Marilyn Kirk Lents of Washington. Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews, some living in Washington, Dennis J. Solliday, William Dean Solliday, Denise Solliday Barnard and Debra Solliday Clark. A brother and three sisters are deceased, Icil E. Kirk, Cleo Kirk Brothers, Leatha Kirk Johnson and Julia Bernice Kirk Wyatt. Ross was very close to his entire family and his passing will leave a huge void in their lives. He will be greatly missed. At Mr. Kirk’s request, there were no services. His ashes will be buried with his mother and father in Washington.

Lucille Nolley Dillon, 76, died at 3:02 p.m. Saturday at Select Hospital in Evansville after a brief illness.
Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Daviess, she was the daughter of Arlan V. and Essie (Hardesty) Nolley. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1953 and retired as a bookkeeper from McDonald Chevrolet in Washington after 43 years of service. -

Born Nov., 24, 1940 in Chicago, he was the son of Bert W. Bennett and Mary (Millay) Bennett. -

Services will be held today at noon at the First United Methodist Church in Petersburg. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery. -
