INDIANAPOLIS — Darryl P. Clifton, 51, died Friday. Born Nov. 25, 1960, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Raymond L. and Shirley A. (Goodman) Clifton. He was a Scoutmaster for over 25 years and was honored with the Silver Beaver. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and was employed with James Whitcomb Riley Children’s Hospital for over 20 years as a stress technician and most recently with Digirad Solutions. He is survived by his father, Raymond L. Clifton; a son, Eric Clifton; two brothers, David J. Clifton (John Eckel, life partner) and Dean A. Clifton (Regina); several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved golden retrievers, Scout and Rogan. His mother, Shirley A. Clifton, and a brother, Douglas Clifton, preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shirley Brothers Fishers Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., and from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to BSA Troup 56 Scout Scholarship Fund, c/o John Egloff, 1032 Pine Hill Way, Carmel, IN 46032.
