CANNELBURG — Eleanor “Jeanette” Bullock, 86, passed away peacefully Monday at her home with her family by her side. Jeanette was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Daviess County, to Alton and Evelyn (White) Showalter. She married Robert C. Bullock April 7, 1944. They were married 68 years and raised six children. Jeanette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, All Saints Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella. She also enjoyed gardening and canning. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Bullock; six children, Gary (Phyllis) Bullock of Cannelburg, Nancy Gehl of California, Charlene (Jim) Meyers of Ohio, Philip (Sylvia) of Jasper, Sharon (John Warner) McCord of Florida, and Donna (Dan) Watson of California; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Rosemary (Louis) Healy of Kokomo, Kenny Showalter of Illinois, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn (Carl) Ramsey; her father, Alton (Frances) Showalters; sisters, Mildred Niblack, Helen Heffernan, Thelma Strange, Marguerite Bateman and Eldena Collinsworth; and brothers, Roscoe Showalter, Charles Showalter, Buck Garner and Ed Garner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, with Revs. James Koressel and Joseph Erbacher as co-celebrants. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 3 p.m., at the church. Preferred memorial donations are to Daughters of Isabella, P.O. Box 10, Montgomery, IN 47558 or to Southern Care Hospice, 1251C Hwy. 41 North, Evansville, IN 47725. Born Oct. 21, 1940, he was the son of Ellen (Veale) Padgett. A graduate of Jasper High School in 1958, he attended the University of Kentucky at Hopkinsville.

Aaron Max Banta, 72, passed away at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. Aaron was born April 17, 1941, in Washington, the son of Harold Max and Ermel Louise (Stafford) Banta.
William Forest Malone, 69, born in Scotland, Ind., to Ernest C. and Hazel I. (Woodruff) Malone, passed from this life after a brief illness at his home on Tuesday.
Roy C. Fisher, 82, passed away Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born Jan. 13, 1931, in Lawrence County, Ill., he was the son of Willard and Martha (Timms) Fisher.
