Timothy Carrico

LOOGOOTEE — Timothy J. Carrico, 55, died at 11:07 a.m. Saturday at Daviess Community Hospital. Born Nov. 9, 1957, in Jasper, he was the son of Emil D. and Beulah (Patterson) Carrico. He was a member of Loogootee Christian Church and had attended Barr-Reeve High School in Montgomery. He was the owner and operator of South Side Automotive in Washington and was the former owner of the Amish Kountry Korner east of Washington. He was also the co-owner of Skelton-Carrico Properties in Washington. He was an avid guitar player; he loved music, his Christian faith and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Arvin) Carrico, whom he married Nov. 9, 1974; his mother, Beulah Carrico of Jasper; four sons, Brandon and wife Melissa Carrico, Cameron Carrico, Nathan and wife Audree Carrico, and Justin Carrico, all of Loogootee; two brothers, Dave Carrico of Huntingburg and Luke Carrico of Loogootee; two sisters, Julia A. Beck of Ireland and Susan Holt of Loogootee; and 10 grandchildren, Chase, Anaya, Chloe, Aspyn, Chance, Brooklyn, Ajada and Kensleigh Carrico, Broedy Knepp and Ryker Cooksey. He is preceded in death by his father, Emil D. Carrico; one brother, Donald Carrico; and one sister, Becky Carrico. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Loogootee Christian Church. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery in Whitfield. Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
