JASPER — Gregory M. Queen, 45, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born May 31, 1967, in Port Smith, Va., he was the son of Michael and Sandy (Wilson) Queen. A 1985 graduate of Washington Catholic High School, he also was a graduate of Vincennes University and had attended Purdue University. He was a computer programmer for Net Scout in San Jose, Calif. He and his daughter moved back to Indiana in January from Brentwood, Calif., where they had lived for several years. He enjoyed bike riding, camping and hiking in California. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Sandy Queen of Washington; one daughter, Marie Catherine Queen of Jasper; one sister and brother-in-law, Misty and Don Woods of Celestine; one nephew, Ben Woods of Celestine; and his grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Queen of Washington. He is preceded in death by grandparents Ernie and Frankie Wilson and Daniel “Tucker” Queen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
