WASHINGTON —
Larry D. Taylor,70, of Loogootee, passed away at the Washington Nursing Center on August 1, 2012.
Taylor was born September 21, 1941 in Loogootee to Sherman Roscoe and Eva Belle (Sheetz) Taylor.
He was first married to Pauline Butler. He then married Linda Steczyk.
Taylor was also survived by one son, Anthony “Brad” (and Stacy) Taylor of Washington; Daughters, Cynthia “Cindy” (and David) O’Brien of Loogootee, Donna Dunn of Loogootee, Ilene (and Lupe) Cortes of Sebree, Ky., and Denise Pearson of Crane. He had seven grandchildren, numerous nieces and cousins. Taylor had one sister, Joyce Crosslin of Murfreesboro, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, three brothers and three sisters.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Loogootee American Legion, former Loogootee Moose Lodge, and the Park and Spark Car Club, His hobby was restoring old cars and was the owner of T&O Fun Cars.
He was a member of the Methodist denomination. He was a retired and well-known mechanic for Uebelhor and Sons in Jasper.
Visitation will be at the Lee Funeral Home in Loogootee. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee.
