WASHINGTON — Dorothy J. Fair, 79, of Washington, passed away at 9:01 p.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born June 13, 1933, in Pike County, she was the daughter of Levi M. and Irene R. (Benjamin) Myers. She was a graduate of Otwell High School and Indianapolis Methodist Nursing School. She was a member of Washington Free Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Tim Collins of Greenville, Ohio, and Janet and Mike Gregory of Washington; four sisters, Lorene Oglesby of Houston, Texas, Mary Kenshol of Sycamore, Ill., Joyce Randall of Evansville, and Betty Mosby of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Charles Myers of Petersburg; and four grandchildren. Her husband, Oral D. Fair, whom she married June 12, 1954, died Oct. 25, 2004. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Pastor Wayne Neely officiating. Burial will be in McClure Cemetery at Algiers. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.edleemortuary.com.
