WASHINGTON — Dorothy J. Fair, 79, of Washington, passed away at 9:01 p.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born June 13, 1933, in Pike County, she was the daughter of Levi M. and Irene R. (Benjamin) Myers. She was a graduate of Otwell High School and Indianapolis Methodist Nursing School. She was a member of Washington Free Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Tim Collins of Greenville, Ohio, and Janet and Mike Gregory of Washington; four sisters, Lorene Oglesby of Houston, Texas, Mary Kenshol of Sycamore, Ill., Joyce Randall of Evansville, and Betty Mosby of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Charles Myers of Petersburg; and four grandchildren. Her husband, Oral D. Fair, whom she married June 12, 1954, died Oct. 25, 2004. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Pastor Wayne Neely officiating. Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Daviess, she was the daughter of Arlan V. and Essie (Hardesty) Nolley. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1953 and retired as a bookkeeper from McDonald Chevrolet in Washington after 43 years of service.
