LOOGOOTEE —
Betty K. Furrer, 89, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Martin County Health Care and Rehab Center.
She was born July 12, 1923, in Eccles, W. Va., to James P. and Ora Frances (Wells) Keatley. On April 21, 1954, she married John Harding Furrer, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 1996.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cats, dogs, jewelry and being with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Matt Harshaw, Loogootee; son and a daughter-in-law, David and Juanita Furrer, and son Jerry Furrer, all of Mansfield, Ohio, a brother, James Keatley, of Snyder, Colo., and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home, Loogootee. Following the service, there will be visitation from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.brocksmithblakefuneralhomes.com.
