ODON — Dorothy F. Ketchem, 79, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon. Born Aug. 1, 1933, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of William and Ruth (Eck) Hannah. She was a graduate of Elnora High School and a member of Pleasant Hill Church in Odon. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, gardening, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry and Rozanne Ketchem of New Albany, Craig and Roz Ketchem of Odon, Jon and Valerie Ketchem of Lincoln, Maine, Jack Ketchem of Bloomington, Jim and Linda Ketchem of Odon and Jarrod Ketchem of Bloomington; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Jim Skorupski of Inverness, Fla.; two sisters, Joyce Green of Washington, and Ruth Carol Kirchner of Cannelburg; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Jack L. Ketchem, whom she married Dec. 23, 1950, died Sept. 30, 2006. Her parents and one brother, John Hannah, are also deceased. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon. Arrangements are being made through Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
