LYONS —
Dorothy Ellen (Worrell) Ramsey, 97, died Thursday at Lyons Health and Living Center.
Born July 16, 1917 in Greene County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Rose (McCain) Worrell.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Most of her life was dedicated to her family and she was a homemaker.
Suviving are a daughter, Janice (Lonnie) Ray of Bloomfield; a son, David (Renee) Ramsey of Wheatland; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Ramsey of Odon; grandchildren, Scott Ramsey and Susan (Craig) Wittmer of Odon, Tony (Dorree) Ray of Bloomfield, Tammy Rollins of Solsberry, Tracey (Thomas) Burks of Lyons and Abe Ramsey of Wheatland; great grandchildren Brandon Rollins, Courtney Lewis, Makenzie Ray, Brooke Sternik, Joey Sternik, Paige Ray, Brady Burks, Gage Ray and Ryan Wittmer; a great great granddaughter, Makaia McGruder; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Ralph Ramsey; a son, Larry Ramsey; a sister, Bonnie Crews; and three brothers, Herschel, Roy and Norman Eugene Worrell.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Plainville Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gill Chapel.
