LOOGOOTEE — Kent Dwain Hupp, 54, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday at his home. Born Jan. 26, 1959, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Charles and Sonja (Webb) Hupp. He was an active member and trustee of the Loogootee Christian Church and was a 1978 graduate of Loogootee High School. He had worked as a machinist at Kimball Electronics in Jasper for 35 years. He was also the owner and operator of the Body Shop Gym in Loogootee. He enjoyed weight lifting and coaching his daughter’s Little League softball for eight years. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (McPherson) Hupp, whom he married Sept. 16, 1995; his parents, Charles and Sonja Hupp of Loogootee; one son, Chris Hupp of Washington; three daughters, Nikki Moore of Loogootee, Katelyn Hupp and Kierstyn Hupp, both at home; two brothers, Bruce Hupp of Loogootee, and Scot Hupp of Portersville; and one granddaughter, Addison Moore. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Loogootee Christian Church. Burial will be in Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the church and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday. Arrangements are being made through Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
