EVANSTON, Ind. —
EVANSTON, Ind. — Thomas J. Webb III, 63, went to be with his Lord surrounded by family and loved ones, Wednesday, at the home of Charlie and Charlynn Zimmerman. He was born in Lackey, Ky., Jan. 18, 1950, son of the late Thomas J. Webb Jr. and Elsie (Simpson) Webb. He is also preceded in death by a brother Ray, and sister Linda.
A member of the National Guard for six years, Thomas worked as an operator for Foertsch Construction for 30 years.
He was an avid UK basketball fan, enjoyed golf, being with family and friends and attending his grandchildren’s activities. He had been a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Thomas is survived by son, Shawn Webb (Karin), Washington and their children, Shawna, Mattalynn and Logan Webb; and daughters; Rachel Tuggle (Chris), Evanston and their children, August, Wyatt and Josie Tuggle, Sarah Webb, Evanston, and her children, Reiss and Mason Wetzel; sisters, Jeanie Labhart (Roy), Tell City, Dawn Weatherholt (Kenny), Newtonville, Sherri Harrison (David), Lexington, Penny Hassfurther (Tony), Ferdinand; brothers, Chuck Webb (Carol), Evanston, David “Red” Webb (Kathy), Evanston; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, at St. John’s Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. There will be military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post #2939. Rev. Mike Mueller will officiate. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Huber Funeral Home, Tell City is handling the arrangements.
