Carol Mangin

May 22, 1939 - March 4, 2013

WASHINGTON — Carol Sue Mangin, 73, of Washington, passed away at 5:04 a.m. Monday at the home of her daughter in Jasper. Born May 22, 1939, in Washington, she was the daughter of Ernest and Mary “Frankie” (Patterson) Wilson. She was a 1957 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She was retired from Tokheim Industries. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles and volunteering at the Washington St. Vincent DePaul. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Renee and Allan Hentrup of Jasper and Jamie and Paul Petty of Palm Bay, Fla.; two grandsons, Alex James Hentrup of Jasper and Tyler Austin Petty of Palm Bay; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Mike Queen of Washington. Her husband, James A. Mangin, whom she married Dec. 31, 1961, died Dec. 5, 2008. She is also preceded in death by one son, Troy James Mangin, and her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Hope Church, with Rev. Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with a wake service at 3:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be given to St. Vincent DePaul, 815 E. Main St., Washington, IN 47501.
