ODON — Mary June Hammer, 84, died Thursday at Ketcham Memorial Center.
Born June 9, 1928, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Jesse and Alma (Critchlow) Trueblood. She attended Pleasant Hill Community Church and was a waitress at the NWSC Crane Officers Club for 16 years.
Survivors include her husband, George Hammer of Odon, whom she married Aug. 23, 1947; a sister, Maye Arford of Odon; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Fairbush and Jean Musser; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delbert and Mary Trueblood, Jess and Ada Trueblood, Roy and Anna Trueblood, Beecher and Faye Trueblood, and Carl and Donna Trueblood; sisters and a brother-in-law, Minnie Trueblood and Kathryn and Herschel Shafer; and sisters-in-law, Pat, Barbara and Margaret Ann Hammer.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Poindexter-Hall and McClure Odon Chapel. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
