WASHINGTON — Mable Lee Keller, 96, of Washington, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Sunday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 6, 1916, in French Lick, to Elvis and Mary Ann (Sutton) Leffler. She was a 1932 graduate of Evansville Central High School and had attended Lockyear Business College. She had worked at UniRoyal and Senior and Family Services and had been a RSVP volunteer. She was a past member of the Ladies of the Moose, Eagles Auxiliary, and Old American Society. She was also a member of Central Christian Church. She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Keller of California; one son, Joseph LaVerne Allen II of Roanoke, Ind.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a faithful friend, Mary Steiner of Montgomery. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Rev. James Payton officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
