LINTON — Michael E. Faulk, 66, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Saturday at his residence. He was born in Indianapolis on July 26, 1946, the son of John Merrill and Katie Pearl (Boston) Faulk. He was a 1964 graduate of Patricksburg High School and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Washington Army National Guard as a 1st Sergeant. He was Past Master of the Linton Masonic Lodge No. 560, Past Commander of the American Legion Post No. 22 of Linton, and the VFW No. 7118 of Linton, and attended Lebanon Baptist Church of Midland. He began his career with Indiana Bell, truly enjoying his job, retiring from Ameritech. He is survived by his wife, Laura (Jerrell) Faulk, whom he married June 7, 1991; six children, Laurel Edmonson of Lyons, Michael A. (Amanda) Faulk of Linton, Shelley Wisniewski of Linton, Christy Johnson of Linton, Holly Faulk of Bloomington, and Ron D. “Buddy” (Crystal Elkins) Weddle of Lyons; five brothers, John (Carol) Faulk of Tampa, Fla., Rick (Gloria) Faulk of Indianapolis, Tim (Lynn) Faulk of Indianapolis, and Jeff (Angie) Faulk of Cape Coral, Fla.; one sister, Debbie Faulk-Miles of Speedway, and 18 grandchildred, Eric, Adam, Matthew, Ashley, Chelsey, Michael Craig, Nicole, Samantha, Nate, Nick, Noah, Nerin, Madison, Briar, Trevor, Taylor, Elesabeth and Bailey; and four great-grandchildren, Molly, Paris, Paige and Peyton. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Pastor David Loy officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post No. 22 of Linton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with Masonic Memorial Service at 7 p.m., and from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans through the funeral home.
