Richard J. “Dick” Eskew, 57, of Washington, died at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born Oct. 29, 1951, in Washington, he was the son of William M. and Grace (Ross) Eskew.
A 1969 graduate of Washington High School, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Washington Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by one daughter, Carrie Alford of Washington; two sons, Derek Eskew of Washington and Jason Barnett of Bicknell; mother, Grace Eskew of Washington; two sisters, Marsha Dyer and Sandra Heshelman, both of Plainville; one brother, David Eskew of Washington; and six grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Eskew.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Rev. Chris Coney officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and V.F.W.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
