CANNELBURG — Frances Regina “Jean” Miller, 84, died Saturday at Martin County Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Loogootee.
Born March 25, 1925, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of William and Agnes (Haag) Seal.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She loved her yard and garden and paid special attention to her flowers. Fishing was her favorite sport. She loved long drives in the county looking a God’s beautiful creations.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Durward Miller, whom she married Oct. 13, 1945; two daughters, Sandi Lengacher of Fort Wayne and Carol and her husband Dave Hedrick of Loogootee; two sons, Larry Miller and his wife Anne of Kokomo and David Miller and his partner Bob Daniels of Zionsville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and Norman Arvin of Loogootee and Mary Ruth and Ambrose Walker of Washington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Mary Seal of Cannelburg and Dwight and Donna Seal of Dubois; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, William Miller; and one grandson, Donald Lengacher.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church in Cannelburg, with Rev. James Koressel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
