Doris M. Mullen, 83, of Washington, died at 8:05 p.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center.
Born March 27, 1926, in Washington, she was the daughter of William and Lillian (Ebler) Holt.
A 1944 graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and babysitting for other children.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Patty Mullen and Pat and Brenda Mullen, all of Washington, and Jim Mullen of Vincennes; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Maurice Mullen, whom she married March 1, 1949, died May 27, 1992. One son, Stephen Mullen, and two brothers Donald Holt and an infant, are also deceased.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Leo Kiesel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with a wake service at 4 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
