ESCONDIDO, Calif. — Roger Dewey McKown, 67, died Wednesday at his residence in Escondido.
A 1959 graduate of Washington High School, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was retired from Pacific Bell Telephone Company.
Roger leaves behind his wife, Judy McKown; two sons, Dennis of San Diego, Calif., and Scott McKown and wife Linda and grandchildren, Patricia and Stewart, all of Vista, Calif.
Born Oct. 31, 1941, he was the son of Francis (Bud) McKown, deceased, and Virginia (Rogers) McKown, who survives along with six sisters, Amy Hoss of Bedford, Lorna Mitchell of Mitchell, Nancy Bilskie of Lawrenceville, Ill., and Susan Spaulding, Ruth Queen and Jane Indahl, all of Washington. He also leaves three brothers, Alan McKown of Columbus, Phillip McKown of Richmond, Va., and Bruce McKown of Washington; along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in Escondido.
The family requests prayer for the family in their sorrow.
