ODON — Leona Maxine Boruff, 86, died Wednesday at Ketchem Memorial Nursing Home in Odon.
Born April 28, 1923, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Walter Bert and Nancy Pearl (Chestnut) Roach.
She was a retired nurse and had worked at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Odon.
She is survived by one son, Tom and his wife Sharon Boruff of Odon; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Boruff of Martinsville; two grandchildren, Michael Boruff of Martinsville, Stephanie Walker and her husband John of Trafalgar; two stepgrandchildren, Chip Smith of Franklin and Paula Englert of Indianapolis; seven stepgreat-grandchildren, Emily Gullion, Austin Englert, Haley Englert, Jennifer Englert, Toni Englert, Sabrina Englert and Robert Walker; her great-grandchildren, Amanda Scrogham, Cooper Scrogham, Katie and her husband Ron Ray; and one great-great-grandson, A.J. Ray.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman "Jack" Boruff; one son, Jerry Lee Boruff; one cousin, Naomi Bough; and her parents.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. John Lampson officiating. Burial will be in Switz City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
