Emma Lou Rader

ELNORA — Emma Lou Rader, 80, passed away Wednesday at her residence.

She was born May 16, 1929, in Dugger, to Duard and Lula (Slaven) Cooper.

She married Clement O. Rader on Jan. 7, 1948.

Emma Lou was a homemaker and a member of the Elnora Christian Church. She very much loved her family and enjoyed cooking great meals for them. She always welcomed family and friends into her home with open arms and a gracious heart. Her grandchildren all adored her, as did all of her family.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clement Rader; three sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Pam Rader of Bloomfield, Randall and Regene Rader of Clinton and Gary and Ann Rader of Columbia, Md.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Steve Sasson of Rochester, N.Y., and Kathy and JC Shelton of Washington; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Her family of Emma Lou is following her wishes with cremation. Family and friends are invited to a gathering and visitation for a time of reflection from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Elnora Christian Church, with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m., with Randall Barnett officiating.
