COLUMBIA CITY — Catherine J. Grubb, 90, died at 1:55 p.m. Saturday at Miller’s Merry Manor in Columbia City.
Born May 21, 1919, in Montgomery, she was the daughter of Joseph and Jessie (Reese) Elmore.
She attended Montgomery High School and lived in Washington until 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Christian Church and Homemakers Extension Club in Washington and Christian Women Fellowship. She was a current member of Columbia City United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna (John) Toole of Columbia City and Peggy Berry of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one brother, Joseph (Nancy) Elmore of Washington; one sister, Louise G. Duzan of Washington; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Eugene P. Grubb, whom she married Aug. 26, 1936, died February 1991.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City, with funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be private.
