Gene Carlton Aldrich
Gene Carlton Aldrich, 70, of Washington, died at 8:34 a.m. Sunday at Daviess Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 25, 1939, in Linton, he was the son of Guy and Vivian (Robb) Aldrich.
A graduate of Bloomfield High School, he was a heavy equipment mechanic and operator. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian and Jerry Sidebottom and April and Todd Kaelin, all of Washington; sons and daughters-in-law, Emory “Pete” and Tami Aldrich and Kyle and Stephanie Pruett Aldrich, all of Washington; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Patrick and Scott Aldrich; grandson, Loren Aldrich; sisters, Susie Dailey and Gloria Spiker; and brother, John Aldrich.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Gill Chapel, with Rev. Loy Baird officiating. Burial will be in Sugarland Memory Gardens.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Helen B. Williams, 102, of Washington, went home to be with the Lord at 3:18 a.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born Dec. 20, 1907, she was the daughter of William and Maude (Koontz) Miles.
