Vera E. Arthur
BLOOMINGTON — Vera E. Arthur, 74, formerly of Elnora, passed away Friday at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.
She was born March 26, 1935, in Daviess County, to Ray and Mable Marie (Toon) Edmondson.
She was employed at RCA in Bloomington for 23 years until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of the Elnora Christian Church and the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 245 in Elnora.
She is survived by a son, Darrell E. (Becky) Arthur of Newberry; daughter, Kathy Jo Wampler of Bloomington; grandchildren, James Franklin, Jr., Joshua and Jerimis Wampler, Lacy (Joe) Kantor, Jarrod (Stephanie) Arthur, Ashlee and Allison Arthur; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Loren Edmondson of Odon and Ira Edmondson of Evansville; and two sisters, Audrey Martin of Indianapolis and Shannon Edmondson of Washington.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and two granddaughters.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with Rev. Steve Dunkel officiating. The family of Vera Arthur is following her wishes with cremation to follow.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday.
The family has requested memorial contributions to be made to the American Lung Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Noah “Nick” Graber, 75, went to be with the Lord at 12:22 a.m. Sunday at his residence surrounded by his family. Born May 31, 1935, in Daviess County, he was the son of Nicholas R. and Ida (Graber) Graber.

Helen B. Williams, 102, of Washington, went home to be with the Lord at 3:18 a.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born Dec. 20, 1907, she was the daughter of William and Maude (Koontz) Miles.

Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” Roark, 67, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at his residence. Born Oct. 29, 1942, in Daviess County, he was the son of Ralph W. and Wanda F. (White) Roark.

Marion R. Barber, 89, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at his residence. Born Jan. 23, 1921, in Daviess County, he was the son of Logan W. and Lorena Pearl (Arison) Barber.

Paul William Patterson, 84, passed away at 2:53 p.m. Saturday at Parkvilla LTC in Marion. Born Oct. 26, 1926, in Daviess County, he was the son of Charles and Anna (Wilson) Patterson.
