James D. Chamness
James D. Chamness, 68, of Washington, died at 11:04 p.m. Friday at his residence.
Born Dec. 24, 1940, in Petersburg, he was the son of Claude R. and Jennie (Arnold) Chamness.
A 1959 graduate of Petersburg High School, he served in the U. S. Army from 1960 to 1966. He was a window salesman for Keusch Windows, Inc. in Jasper. He was a member of the Washington American Legion and Eagles and the Petersburg V.F.W. and Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene K. (Harmon) Chamness, whom he married June 22, 1984; his ex-wife, Bridgette Chamness; a daughter and son-in-law, Marisa and David Anderson of Carmel; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Valerie Chamness of Jasper, Anthony and Melanie Chamness of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Dustin J. Chamness of Kuwait, and Logan J. Chamness of Washington; sisters, Marilyn Doughty, Mona Kruk and Jean Selby; granddaughters, Rachel Anderson, Sydnie Chamness and Bailie Eversoll; grandsons, Ben and Will Anderson and Zacary Chamness; and sister-in-law, Joan Chamness.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joyce Beck, Caroline Redman and Lois Traylor; brother, Bob Chamness; and brothers-in-law, Bill Doughty, Mike Kruk and Don Selby.
No services have been planned at this time.

Noah “Nick” Graber, 75, went to be with the Lord at 12:22 a.m. Sunday at his residence surrounded by his family. Born May 31, 1935, in Daviess County, he was the son of Nicholas R. and Ida (Graber) Graber.

Helen B. Williams, 102, of Washington, went home to be with the Lord at 3:18 a.m. Sunday at Washington Nursing Center. Born Dec. 20, 1907, she was the daughter of William and Maude (Koontz) Miles.
