Shelba Wilkes

Feb. 24, 1938 - Feb. 28, 2013

WASHINGTON — Shelba J. Wilkes, 75, of Washington, died at 1 a.m. Sunday at Eastgate Manor. Born Feb. 24, 1938, in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Ashby) Barrett. She was a homemaker and an Eagles Auxiliary trustee. She is survived by a cousin, Terry (Sue) Williams of Bloomington; longtime friend, Rick Harsha; two stepchildren; and several stepgrandchildren. Her husband, Paul H. Wilkes, died Oct. 13, 1988. One daughter, Paula Denise Like, and one sister, Carol Sue Barrett, are also deceased. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gill Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve Dayton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Vincennes. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral.     Lucille Nolley Dillon, 76, died at 3:02 p.m. Saturday at Select Hospital in Evansville after a brief illness.
    Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Daviess, she was the daughter of Arlan V. and Essie (Hardesty) Nolley. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1953 and retired as a bookkeeper from McDonald Chevrolet in Washington after 43 years of service.
