Annalou Himsel

Jan. 12, 1920 - Feb. 25, 2013

JASPER — Annalou Himsel, 93, passed away at 10:20 a.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. Born Jan. 12, 1920, in Otwell, she was the daughter of Randall and Jenna (Clark) Teague. She married Paul Himsel Jan. 30, 1938; he preceded her in death March 6, 1991. Annalou retired from Watson Department Store in Jasper where she had worked for 10 years. She was a member of Otwell Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Roeder and her husband Fred of Boone Township; a son, Jim Himsel of Ormond Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Clark of Bellville, Ill., Gloria Nelson of Otwell; and one brother, Charles Teague of Newburgh. Preceding her in death besides her husband is a grandson, Chad Roeder, and one brother, Robert Teague. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Otwell Methodist Church, with Rev. Gerald Frye officiating. Burial will be in Otwell Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before before the service Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Otwell Methodist Church or Shiloh United Methodist Church.
