WASHINGTON — Janice C. Miller, 69, of Washington, passed away at 1:40 p.m. Sunday at her residence. Born May 17, 1943, in Washington, she was the daughter of Robert B. and Elizabeth (Mattingly) Goble. She was a sales clerk at Walmart and a manager at Hardee’s for several years. She was a member of Free Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Fonda (Charles) Schwindt of Winslow; two sons, James (Kimberly) Palmer-Blake of Washington; and Todd Miller of Montgomery; two brothers, Robert B. Goble Jr. of Greencastle, and Mike (Julie) Goble of Washington; two sisters, Phyllis Purdue, Linda (David) Walls and Mary Ellen (Joe) Batman, all of Washington; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth (Donny) Handcock of Evansville, Brock (Amber) Schwindt of Winslow, Amy Moorley of Fort Wayne, Kayhan Blake, Coullen Blake and Madline Rose, all of Washington; great-grandchildren, Rachel Moorley, Faith Moorley, Kameron Schwindt, Quintin Handcock and Aubrey Handcock, all of Washington; several nieces and nephews; and her friend and companion, Mac Petty of Washington. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant triplet brother and sisters, Dale Anthony, Arlene and Darlene Goble; one nephew; and one great-nephew. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Wayne Neeley officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
