Alberta J. (Spears) Beaty, 72, died at 9:05 p.m. Thursday at Martin County Health Care and Rehab Center.
Born July 4, 1940 in Martin County, she was the daughter of Elmer and Mary (Carrico) Spears.
A homemaker, she enjoyed painting, cooking, reading, watching hummingbirds and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Danny Allbright, Bobby Allbright, and Samuel Allbright, all of Loogootee; three daughters, Mary Tharp, Kay Sheetz and Missy Kneip, all of Loogootee; a brother, Daniel Spears of Loogootee; two sisters, Pauletta Eichmiller of Loogootee and Patty Fischer of Cannelburg; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, James Allbright; her first husband, Gerald Allbright; her second husband Charles Beaty; two brothers, Elmer L. Spears and Larry Spears; and two sisters, Judy Bruner and Mary Jo Blackman.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
