Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Thompson

WASHINGTON — Cynthia “Cindy” Thompson, 57, of Washington, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Saturday at Washington Nursing Center. Born Jan. 30, 1955, in Washington, she was the daughter of Harold and Bernice (Colbert) Clauss. She was a 1973 graduate of Washington High School. She is survived by her husband, Keith “Dane” Thompson, whom she married June 9, 1973; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Jessica N. Thompson and Joshua and Jessica L. Thompson, all of Washington; and nine grandchildren, Kyle James Malone, Abigail Dawn Thompson, Brendan Thomas Malone, Alexandra Nicole Thompson, Alison Renae Malone, Aubrey Renee Thompson, Gage Harrison Auberry, Laila Marie Thompson and Presly Jo Thompson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Divine; her father, Harold Clauss; and her stepfather, Paul Divine. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Cemetery, with Yvonne Evans officiating. Arrangements are being made through Ed Lee Mortuary.     Born Sept. 30, 1935, in Daviess, she was the daughter of Arlan V. and Essie (Hardesty) Nolley. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1953 and retired as a bookkeeper from McDonald Chevrolet in Washington after 43 years of service.
