LOOGOOTEE — Larry D. Lents, 67, died at 8:38 p.m. Sunday at Martin County Health Care and Rehab Center. Born Sept. 29, 1944, in Martin County, he was the son of William Curtis and Marie (Alvy) Lents. He had attended St. John Catholic High School and was a member of Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church in Loogootee. He had previously worked at Otis Elevator in Bloomington and was an avid reader and Indiana University basketball fan. He is survived by one son, Eric Wagner of Jasper; one daughter, Michelle Doyle of Batesville; one brother, Ed Lents of Loogootee; one sister, Betty Newton of Jasper; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret Wathen; and two brothers, Robert and Dave Lents. Graveside services will be conducted at a later date. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brocksmith-Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Online condolences may be made at www.brocksmithblakefuneralhomes.com.
