WASHINGTON —
Mildred Mae Taylor, 98, of Washington, died at 10 a.m. Thursday at Prairie Village.
Born June 3, 1913, in Reeve Township, she was the daughter of James and Catherine Shull Farren. She attended Montgomery High School and worked at Reliance Manufacturing Company during World War II. She later retired from UniRoyal. Mildred was a member of New Hope Christian Church and Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Floyd M. and Norma Hedrick of Washington; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are three husbands, Alonzo Hedrick, whom she married June 3, 1934, and who died July 29, 1963; Joe Rudkin, whom she married Dec. 31, 1970, and who died Oct. 20, 1974; and Ben Taylor, whom she married June 20, 1981, and who died in 1984; a daughter, Elsie Mae Neukam; a son, Kenneth Ray Hedrick; and a brother, William Farren.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Raymond officiating. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
