MARION — Donald Lee Fleetwood, 80, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Monday at the VA Medical Center in Marion. He was born Jan. 11, 1933 in Daviess County to Clarence and Hazel (Kindall) Fleetwood. He married Marjorie (Herschelman) Fleetwood on March 21, 1954, in Vincennes. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He formerly worked as a developer and salesman in the oil industry. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Fleetwood of Marion; a son, D.J. Fleetwood of Marion; two grandchildren, Jeremy Fleetwood and Mackenzie Fleetwood, both of Benton; three sisters, Margie Thomas and Shirley Perkins, both of Washington, and Lois Stevens of Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes. Military graveside rites will be conducted. There will be no visitation, friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge arrangements.
