WORTHINGTON — Mary Kay Toon passed away Saturday at Glenburn Home in Linton. Born April 16, 1938, in South Bend, she was the daughter of Paul H. and Ethel M. (Wadleigh) Mullis. She was retired from Public Service Indiana as a customer service representative, and previous manager and volunteer at the Sonshine Shop Food Pantry and Thrift Shop in Worthington. She was a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church, the Worthington Garden Club and the Scotland Historical Society. Surviving relatives include a daughter, Kathy (Kenny) McIntosh; two sons, Paul J. (Sharon) Toon and Michael B. (Melissa) Toon, all of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Matthew Britton, Heather Hardison, Holli Norris, Rachel Toon, Madison Toon and Melea Toon; four great-grandchildren, Trinity Britton, Haley Britton, Hope Norris and Ella Norris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Toon, whom she married on Nov. 9, 1956; one brother, Richard R. Mullis; and her parents. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday at Scotland Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Rockey officiating. All friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Mary’s life following the graveside service from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tulip Church of God in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers or cards the family wishes donations be made to the Sonshine Shop Food Pantry and Thrift Shop (canned goods welcome), 16 N. Washington Street, Worthington, or the Worthington Garden Park, 25 N. Lessie Street, Worthington. Please make all donations in Mary Kay Toon’s name.
