PERU, Ind. — Theresa R. Woodruff, 84, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Saturday at her residence with her husband of more than 64 years, Sheldon, at her bedside. She was born in Daviess County Dec. 19, 1927, the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Dant) Grannan. Theresa married Sheldon R. Woodruff Jan. 10, 1948. Surviving in addition to her husband Sheldon are two sons, Ronald Woodruff and his wife Linda of Akron, and James Woodruff and his wife Cindy of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mary Alexander of Peru, and Carolyn Cronin and her husband Ed of Marlborough, Mass.; five grandsons; five stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a great-grandson; two sisters, LaVerne Grannan and Mary R. Massie, both of Washington; one brother, William Grannan of Jeffersonville; and her beloved dog, Rosie. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Doris Wilson; six brothers, Norwood, Howard, Carl, Denis, John E. and James R. Grannan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 W. Fifth Street, Peru, with Rev. Eric Underwood officiating. Burial will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Peru. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home to the St. Charles Catholic Church, Miami County Helping Hands or Hope Hospice of Logansport.
