Belle Perkins

May 8, 1923 - Feb. 10, 2013

WASHINGTON — Belle Perkins, 89, of Washington, died at 1:31 a.m. Sunday at Daviess Community Hospital.

 

Born May 8, 1923, in Black Springs, Ark., she was the daughter of Nathan L. and Edith M (Taylor) Fox.

 

She had been a house cleaner.

 

She is survived by a stepson, Terry Allen of Washington; three stepdaughters, Kaye Godfrey, Debbie Schulm and Letha Fields, all of Washington; nephews, Bill Crosby, Verlin B. Crosby, Dan Crosby, all of Washington, and Dick Crosby of Alfordsville; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

 

Her husband, Meredith Perkins, is deceased. Her parents; a daughter, Jewell Perkins; brothers, Billie, Orval, Floyd and Earl Fox; sisters, Laura Fitzgerald, Pat Anderson, Mary Kubicek and Lola Sullivan, are also deceased.

 

The funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, with Rev. Gordon Mann officiating. Burial was at  in Sugarland Memory Gardens.

 

Arrangements were made through Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home.
