ODON — Robert P. “Bob” Davis, 85, passed away on Saturday in Odon. Bob was born Feb. 27, 1927, to John and Laurel (Priest) Davis. He was a graduate of Odon High School class of 1945. He married Betty Jean Chapman on Feb. 27, 1949, and they were married for 61 1/2 years before her passing in 2010. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his brother Carl Davis. He is survived by two sons, John (Alma) Davis of Niceville, Fla., Jim (Deborah) Davis of Newberry, and Shannon (John) Lobeck of Santa Claus. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.
