Zeller named to All-ACC team

GREENSBORO, N.C. — University of North Carolina sophomore Tyler Zeller has earned his second consecutive selection to the 2010 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men's Basketball Team, as announced today by Commissioner John Swofford.

Zeller is one of four returning members of the team, including a pair of three-time All-Academic team selections — Virginia’s Jerome Meyinsse and Duke’s Brian Zoubek — and two-time member Tanner Smith of Clemson.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.

Zeller, a sophomore business administration major from Washington, Ind., is Carolina’s fourth-leading scorer by average this season, posting 9.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 20 contests. He missed 10 games in January and February with a stress fracture in his foot.
