Barr-Reeve faces some familiar foes in the Class A Volleyball Regional it hosts Saturday.
Fourth-ranked Springs Valley (29-5) will face the top-ranked Vikings (34-0) in the second game of the morning regional session.
The first game matches Tecumseh (23-8) against New Washington (19-13) at 11 a.m. The final is set for 7 p.m.
Barr-Reeve defeated both Springs Valley and Tecumseh in the regular season. Valley took the Vikings to a fourth set in a defeat on Sept. 8, but Tecumseh could not muster double digits in their game against Barr-Reeve at the Wood Memorial tournament on Sept. 19.
Tickets are $5 per session or $8 for both sessions and are available at the Barr-Reeve High School office during school hours.
Around the state, eight of the top 10 Class A teams are still in the tournament. The winner of the Barr-Reeve Regional will be in the state finals in Muncie on Nov. 7 against the winner of the Caston Regional.
Perennial state championship spoilers Michigan City Marquette is slated in the Caston regional. Winners from the South Decatur and Wes-Del regionals will play in the other semifinal in Muncie.
The state final is set for 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University.
