MUNCIE — Although the Barr-Reeve Viking volleyball team left Muncie without the elusive state title, they did leave with the full respect and admiration of all those in attendance at Worthen Arena at Ball State University on Saturday morning.
The No. 1 Vikings (36-1) dropped the semifinal match in four games to the eventual state champions, No. 2 Marquette Blazers (35-6). However, they did give Viking Nation a few thrills along the way, during the 25-23, 15-25, 20-25 and 16-25 loss.
