The North Daviess Lady Cougars and Jenny Dove made Ron Knepp a winner in his first time out as head coach in a 38-29 win over Washington Catholic at the Bird Cage on Thursday.
Dove scored 13 of her game high 18 points in the second half and recorded a double-double with 13 rebounds. North Daviess trailed by one at 18-17 going into halftime after a rebound basket from Washington Catholic’s Katie Sellers — who led the Lady Cardinals with 15 points — just ahead of the second quarter. But North Daviess outscored WC 15-9 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
