Vikings down Chargers

PETERSBURG—The Barr-Reeve Vikings used the free throw line to outlast Pike Central 56-47 in a physical contest on Friday night.

The Chargers were whistled for 27 fouls that allowed the Vikings to visit the foul line and connect on 26 of 38 free throws while Pike Central managed just 4 of 9 from the line. The nine point win evens the Vikings record at 1-1 while Pike Central falls to 0-2.
