WASHINGTON —
Washington’s baseball team opens on the first night of the Class 3A Jasper Sectional, while the Class A event at Loogootee has a similar feel to its softball cousin.
The Hatchets meet Mitchell in the second game at Jasper on May 23. Class 3A No. 1 Jasper meets Heritage Hills at 5:30 p.m.
Winners of those games return to Ruxer Field May 28 for the first of three games at 11 a.m. Pike Central and Vincennes Lincoln play at 2 p.m.
The championship game is at 8 p.m.
Just like the Class A North Daviess softball sectional, Shoals and Barr-Reeve meet in the first game of the Class A baseball tournament at 10 a.m. May 28.
Class A No. 5 Loogootee meets North Daviess at the conclusion of the opener. The winners return at 7 p.m. for the championship.
