Corydon, IN — Organizers of a southern Indiana county fair have revamped its raffle after running into trouble with the state gambling commission.
The Harrison County Fair had to temporarily stop the raffle this week when state officials said raffle tickets were improperly being given to those younger than 18 and that some cash prizes were larger than allowed by state law.
Fair board chairman Todd Uhl says he was relieved the raffle could be continued. Those arriving at the fairgrounds in Corydon (CORR'-ee-duhn) will have to ask for a ticket and prizes won't exceed $1,500.
Future raffle will also have to be licensed by the gambling commission.
The fair runs through Sunday.
