NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
T.J. Schaffer and Brittany Amber Adkins were united in marriage Aug. 21 at St. Georges Episcopal Church in Nashville, Tenn. Rev. Chris Girata performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Karen Adkins of Smyrna, Tenn., and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Waldron of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Christine Adkins of Marlow, Okla., and the late George Wilford Adkins.
The bridegroom is the son of Tom and Elizabeth Schaffer of Odon and the grandson of Thomas Mulroy of Memphis, Tenn., and the late Joseph A. Smith and the late Virginia Smith Mulroy and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Schaffer of Sandy Lake, Pa.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Bree Adkins and Britney Hagy of Charlotte, N.C., as co-maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Schaffer, sister of the bridegroom, of Odon, Janice Babbs of Nashville, Brynn Turkish of New York City, Heather Locklar of Mount Pleasant, Tenn., and Nicole Rossi of Los Angeles, Calif.
Travis Schaffer of Odon was the best man. Groomsmen were Gable Adkins, Grayson Adkins and Gauge Adkins, all of Smyrna, Tim Schirack and Christopher McNicholas of Chicago, and Ryan Pritchard of Minneapolis, Minn.
Madolyn Hicks of Louisville, Ky., was the flower girl and Samuel Waldron of Murfreesboro was the ring bearer.
The bride wore a diamond white Casa Blanca special edition gown with a chapel train.
The reception and dinner were held at the Hillwood Country Club in Belle Meade. The couple honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of North Daviess High School and a 2007 graduate of Wabash College with a Liberal Arts degree in rhetoric and a 2010 graduate of the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. While at Samford he served as the chief justice of the Moot Court. He is a civil law attorney for Parker, Lawrence, Cantrell and Smith, LLP in Nashville.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Battle Ground Academy in Franklin, Tenn. She attended Vanderbilt University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies.
She was graduated magna cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2010.
While at Samford, she served as the editor of the Cumberland Law Review.
The bride is an attorney for the Nashville entertainment law firm Loeb and Loeb, LLP in Nashville.
The couple resides in Nashville.
