WASHINGTON —
Erin Louise Burch and Jonathon Tyler Burns were united in marriage on June 18 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Loogootee. Rev. Jim Koressel officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Martin and Rita Burch and the granddaughter of Bill Ellis, all of Loogootee, and the late Helen Ellis and the late George and Pauline Burch.
The bridegroom is the son of Jon and Kelly Burns and Charla and R on Wolverton, of Terre Haute. He is the grandson of Norma Shryock and the late Preston Shryock, and Ruel and Helen Burns, and the late Joyce Burns.
A memorial candle was in loving memory of the late Helen Ellis and all the grandparents who passed away.
The bride was given in marriage by her father Martin Burch. Matron of honor was Kayla Burch, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Hannah Burns, sister of the bridegroom, Sierra Singleton, Brooke Hawkins, Krissy Kelly, Brittani Truelove and Perri Weber. Flower girls were Lilyann Swartzentruber, cousin of the bride, and Lilly Renfro, niece of the bridegroom.
Best men were Jeff Barger and Chad Williams. Groomsmen were Steven Burch, brother of the bride, and Kyle Hadar, Craig Rolley and James Grove.
Ushers were Adam Schutte, cousin of the bride, and Kyle Lutes. Reader at the service was Shirley Jeffers. Guest book attendant was Rachel Wasmer, sister of the bridegroom. Programs and bubbles were passed out by Grace and Gwyn Renfro, nieces of the bridegroom. The bride’s attendant was Diana Schutte, aunt of the bride.
The flowers were designed and arranged by Sue Bowman, aunt of the bride. The bride included in her flowers a heart pearl pin of her late grandmother, Helen Ellis, and a rosary and rosary ring of her late grandparents, George and Pauline Burch.
Following the ceremony the guests enjoyed a dinner and dance reception at the Montgomery Ruritan Building. The wedding cake was designed by Rita Burch, mother of the bride. Mother and daughter decorated the cake together with silver edible beads.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Loogootee High School and received her master’s degree in speech language pathologist from Indiana State University in May. She is currently employed at Rosegate Village in Greenwood.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of West Vigo High School and received his master’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from Indiana State University in 2009. He is currently the director of distance education and an instructor of criminology and criminal justice at Indiana State University.
After a honeymoon to Cancun, Mexico, the couple now resides at 7926 Hydrangea Court, Camby, IN 46113.
