WASHINGTON — Candace Lynn Miller and Murray Tristan Crawford were united in marriage March 4. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Lavone Miller of Odon. She is the granddaughter of Henry and Esther Miller and Melvin and Gladys Paulus, all of Odon. The bridegroom is the son of Martin and Marilyn Crawford of Cape Town, South Africa. He is the grandson of the late Allan and Joyce Crawford, and the late Leonard and Dorothy White.

The wedding was held at the home of the bridegroomÕs parents in Cape Town, with CandaceÕs family viewing online via Skype. One of CandaceÕs cousins, Janet (Wilson) Roth and her husband Scott, were able to attend the wedding.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of North Daviess High School and a 2009 graduate of Vincennes University with an associateÕs degree in nursing. The bridegroom is a graduate of Rondebosch BoysÕ High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of South Africa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and communications. He also holds a post-graduate honors degree in English literature and language.

Murray and Candace met while serving with Mercy Ships on the M/V ÒAfrica MercyÓ while the ship was on field service in Sierra Leone, West Africa. They are currently in Tog, West Africa, and plan to continue serving with Mercy Ships. During the summer, while the ship is docked for maintenance, the happy couple is planning a reception in Odon. Formal invitations will be sent, but all friends and family are welcome to attend.
